In recent years, positive progress has been made in economic and trade cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. Since 2012, trade between China and Central and Eastern European countries has grown by an average of 8.1 percent annually. China’s imports from Central and Eastern European countries have an average annual growth rate of 9.2 percent. In the first quarter of this year, the trade volume between the two sides stood at US$33.3 billion, an increase of 1.6 percent. And the overall start is stable and positive. Along with this, the cooperation related to capital-investment is also getting closer day by day. Yu Yuanthang, head of the European Affairs Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said that economic and trade cooperation is the cornerstone of China-Central and Eastern European countries cooperation.
