Gujarat beat Lucknow by 56 runs, Gill-Saha’s blistering innings

Ahmedabad (Ahmedabad). Opener Shubman Gill (94 not out) and Wriddhiman Saha (81) scored brilliant half-centuries to help Gujarat Titans win the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the 51st match of 2023, Lucknow Super Giants were defeated by 56 runs. In this match, Gujarat, batting first, scored a huge score of 227 runs for 2 wickets in 20 overs, in response Lucknow’s team could only manage 171 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Chasing a mammoth target of 228, only Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock could put up some fight for the Lucknow team. Meyers scored 48 runs in 32 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes, while de Kock scored 70 runs in 41 balls with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes, while scoring an excellent half-century.

Apart from these two, only Ayush Badoni (21) could put up some fight. The Lucknow team could only manage 171 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 56 runs.

Earlier, batting first in this match, Gujarat scored 227 runs for 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Opener Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 94 while playing an excellent half-century innings. During this, he scored an unbeaten 94 off 51 balls with two fours and seven sixes.

At the same time, wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha played a brilliant inning of 81 runs in 43 balls. Saha faced 43 balls and hit 10 fours and 4 sixes.

Apart from these two, captain Hardik Pandya scored 25 and David Miller scored 21 not out. Avesh Khan and Mohnis Khan took 1-1 wickets from Lucknow side.
