Sherif Sarhan, member of the “Professional Windows” project in Gaza, said: “The idea behind Wasla is a small grants program for young artists aged 20 to under 35, and this program gives a great opportunity for artists to produce works of art.
Because the artist is the child of his environment, this space, with his young artistic productions, reflected daily issues and projects with an artistic and human dimension that embodied the difficult reality of life in Gaza, with its contradictions between pain, hope, sadness and joy.
For her part, painter Nada Al-Khatib said, “What I long for most is to see the image of the camp, and to see the details of life inside the camp.”
Support young artists through this type of collective exhibition which offers them financial aid and artistic spaces to present their work in a contemporary style, allowing them to communicate directly with the public to invest their ideas and opinions in the development of their artistic productions.
