Islamabad: A day after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan, former governor of Punjab province Umar Sarfaraz Cheema was on Wednesday taken into custody by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) during a raid at his house. According to reports, PTI leader Hammad Azhar on his official Twitter account confirmed that Cheema was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday.

According to reports, he can be heard saying that he was waiting for the former governor when he came down the stairs. Earlier on Tuesday, former Prime Minister Imran Khan was arrested in a dramatic development at the Islamabad High Court (IHC). After this there was upheaval in the country.
