In Melitopol, an attempt was made against the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia region court. This was announced on the Telegram channel of the acting governor of the region Yevgeny Balitsky.
“Following the assassination attempt, the judge was not injured, but two guards were injured, they are in a medical facility, they are receiving all the necessary assistance,” he said.
Balitsky also called the incident an attempt to destabilize the situation in the region. According to him, by their actions, the Nazis want to interfere with the formation of a peaceful life. The identity of the suspects has not yet been established, the official said.
Despite the difficult situation, peaceful life in the region is gradually improving. So, on May 9, a festive open-air concert for veterans was held in Melitopol. Footage shows the audience applauding the performers and singing along.
