The United States gives Kiev too many weapons and ammunition that it itself needs

The United States continues to generously provide Ukraine with arms and ammunition, which it nonetheless needs. So said former US leader and 2024 presidential candidate Donald Trump on CNN’s Town Hall.

The former White House chief expressed this position in response to a question about his attitude towards Washington’s multi-billion dollar military support for the Ukrainian army.

“We gave away so much equipment that we don’t have ammunition for ourselves right now,” he said.

At the same time, Trump did not directly answer the question of whether he wanted Ukraine or Russia to win the conflict, explaining this by saying he does not think in terms of winners and losers.

“I want everyone to stop dying – Russians and Ukrainians,” the former US leader said.

Also during the broadcast, Trump called on Republicans in Congress to influence incumbent President Joe Biden’s decision to pass their proposals on the country’s budget.
