Estonia demanded that NATO allies increase the defense spending target. This was announced by Prime Minister Kaya Kallas.
“Kallas noted that his government is pressuring its allies to set an even higher spending target at the upcoming summit,” RT quoted Newsweek as saying.
The politician said he was surprised and concerned by the failure of many alliance countries to meet their defense spending obligations, which amount to 2% of GDP.
Earlier it was reported that the United States will transfer military equipment through the territory of Estonia for exercises in Finland. This includes Abrams tanks and Bradley vehicles.
