The Russian Government Commission on Legislative Activities did not support the initiative to exempt citizens who have not performed military service from partial mobilization, reports TASS.
The draft recall of the Cabinet of Ministers commission notes that, in accordance with the constitution, the defense of the fatherland is the duty and duty of every citizen of Russia.
“In order to ensure the deployment of troop mobilization in the event of a threat to the military security of the Russian Federation, to expand the list of categories of citizens who are entitled under the legislation of the Russian Federation to benefit of a reprieve from military conscription service mobilization is inappropriate,” the statement said.
Previously, this bill was developed and submitted to the State Duma by a deputy from the Communist Party faction Mikhail Matveev.
We also learned that he was preparing a bill on deductions of 1% on coffee bills, which will go to the fund to help the families of the mobilized and the army.
