Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

An explosive device was thrown on the territory of the Russian consulate in Finland

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced an attack on the Russian consulate on the Åland Islands in Finland. Unknown persons threw an explosive device and other objects at the territory of the diplomatic mission in the town of Mariehamn, said Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry.

It should be noted that the consulate building was damaged. Moreover, the actions of the vandals directly threatened the life and health of the diplomats.

Russia demanded that the perpetrators be held accountable and that an adequate level of security be provided for the employees and property of the Russian consulate in the Aland Islands.

Earlier, Finnish authorities had imposed and then removed the arrest from the land and building of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Helsinki as part of the European Union’s anti-Russian sanctions. Relations between Moscow and Helsinki deteriorated after the start of the NWO in Ukraine. In April, Finland joined NATO and is currently preparing an agreement on the deployment of American military bases.
