Our correspondent said an Israeli force surrounded a house in the Balata refugee camp near Nablus and clashed with Palestinians inside the camp, killing two Palestinians and injuring three.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement: “The young man, Saed Jihad Shaker Mashah, 32, and the young man, Adnan Wasim Yousef Al-Araj, 19, were killed with live ammunition in the head during of the occupation’s aggression against Camp Balata in Nablus, in addition to 3 stable injuries to the neck, abdomen and thigh.” .
For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society added that the toll of the clashes in the Balata camp, in addition to the dead, amounts to 3 wounded by live ammunition, including a 50-year-old woman who was hit by “four bullets and his condition is in danger.”
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said there were three others injured by shrapnel, and were treated at the scene, in addition to 75 cases of suffocation by gas.
Palestinian sources later said that Israeli forces withdrew from Balata camp after failing to arrest Palestinian militants.
New Israeli raids on Gaza
In the Gaza Strip, Israel renewed its shelling of the Strip, after raids that resulted in the deaths of officials of the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, including the commander of operations.
The Israeli army launched a new raid on the Gaza Strip this morning.
This comes after Israel launched two raids that killed two Palestinian militants from the Islamic Jihad movement’s missile unit.
