Loreen has won Eurovision – again – and Icelanders are sorry

Swedish Queen Loreen has captured the hearts of Europeans – again. The most demanding will remember her immortal Eurovision song Euphoria with which she won the competition in 2012. It is clear that Europe still does not have enough, but she won by a few margins tonight, followed by Finland.

However, the social media reactions indicate that many people who thought it was clear Finland had the win are now suffering. Many have called for the abolition of juries and for Europe to simply choose its winners by simple public vote. Especially considering that Finland received more points than Sweden from the public.

I was convinced that Finland had the public with them and that they would win, it was true! But congratulations to Loreen for this incredible victory for the second time and congratulations to Sweden for equaling the record of victories, it is a historic competition in many ways #Eurovision2023 #12 points

Imagine the atmosphere in the room if the Finns had won and he would have covered the song. #12 points

Very funny ! It would have been nice to see Finn win – but congratulations to Loreen and Sweden! Amazing music and Eurovision countries! And as for Iceland: We will be back! #12 points

The Finnish song is more fun. Otherwise, many of these votes were surprising. The main thing is to have fun with it. #12 points

Because Finland was an epic stage and should have won (many juries gave Finns 0 points) and because people are idiots (when it comes to Israel) 🤷‍♀️ #12 points
