– Distributed compensation amount of more than four billion
Bhopal. National Lok Adalat was organized in Madhya Pradesh (Madhya Pradesh) on Saturday from the High Court to all the district and tehsil courts. During this period, more than 92 thousand disputes were settled through amicable settlement across the state. In the process, compensation amounting to more than four billion was disbursed. In this way, the ideal of easy, accessible and quick justice was presented. This information was given by Manoj Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary, Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
He told that during the National Lok Adalat, hearing was held through 19 couple benches in the High Court’s main bench at Jabalpur and Indore-Gwalior bench, while 1329 couple benches in the subordinate courts paved the way for resolving disputes by giving advice to both the parties. This time four lakh 57 thousand 891 cases of pre-litigation i.e. pre-litigation situation were listed, out of which 61 thousand 10 cases were resolved successfully. Similarly, the number of cases pending referral by the courts was two lakh 13 thousand 133, out of which 31 thousand 94 cases were disposed of. In this way, out of the total listed six lakh 71 thousand 24 cases, compromise was done in 92 thousand 104 cases.
Two cases of 12 crore 20 lakh transactions resolved
Principal District and Sessions Judge of Indore settled the disputes of Trivedi Agrotech Pvt Ltd against Rajesh and Neeraj against Rajesh. These cases were pending for five years. In these there was a dispute of transactions of Rs 7 crore two lakh and Rs 5 crore 20 lakh. Principal District and Sessions Judge BK Sharma, after detailed discussion with the parties and advocates of both the cases, ended the disputes on the basis of mutual agreement.
60 lakh compensation given in case of motor accident:
Salman Khan died in a road accident in Indore. His wife, two children and parents had filed a case for compensation. The matter was filed before the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Indore. Both the parties were counseled in the National Lok Adalat. In this way the insurance company agreed to pay 60 lakh compensation amount to the relatives of the deceased.
