During the official visit, the minister is due to meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly Vyacheslav Volodin and Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Assembly Federal Valentina Matviyenko.
The focus of the upcoming meetings, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry explained, will be the topics of cooperation and interaction between Belarus and Russia on the international scene.
The press service of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Russia told the agency that upon arrival at the Belarusian diplomatic mission, the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry “briefly discussed the upcoming negotiations with the ‘Ambassador Dmitry Krutoy and advisers-envoys’, adding that Aleinik’s official visit will last until May 17.
