Russian diplomats have denied reports of the end of air traffic between Moscow and Antalya. They attributed the flight delays to maintenance work on the runway at the Turkish airport.
“This information is not true. The delays at the airport are due to repair work on the runway at Antalya airport,” the consulate general told TASS.
Diplomats said on Saturday the agency only received one call from Russian tourists and their flight was ultimately delayed by just 30 minutes.
Previously, the United States had threatened Georgian airlines with sanctions for communicating with Russia. According to the US State Department, the possible consequences should worry Georgian businesses.
