Shivraj said in the Kevat Jayanti program – no stone will be left unturned in the progress of Kevat society

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Lord Shriram and Mother Sita were carried across the Ganges by Nishadraj Kevat. Kevat had immense devotion and devotion towards Shri Ram. Nishadraj is no less than God for the Indian society. Kevat society is simple, hardworking and courageous society. The Kevat community had defeated the British in the freedom struggle. He said that Kevat will leave no stone unturned in the progress, development and progress of the society. Everyone will go together. Will move forward with full force.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the Kevat Jayanti program at Chief Minister’s residence on Monday. Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Chairman of Fishermen Welfare Board Sitaram Batham, Pintu Kewat, Rakesh Batham, Premlal Varman, Raju Batham, Mahesh Kewat and other officials and dignitaries of the society were present in the programme.

The Chief Minister said that fishermen have the first right on government ponds and water structures. The possession of the ponds will be taken back from the bullies and will be given to the fishermen. The task of giving possession to the Kevat community will be done by running a campaign in the state. He said that by forming a committee, the discrepancy in caste certificate for government service will be removed. The employees who are in government service will not be put out of service. Where there is majority of Kevat community, there Nishadraj memorials, buildings will be built and statues will be installed.

He said that the youth of Kevat community should try to come forward in other professions apart from the traditional profession. Business opportunities will be made available under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana. Medical and engineering studies are also being done in Hindi so that our children are not left behind due to English. 5 percent of the medical seats have been reserved for the children of government schools. The Chief Minister said that under Ladli Behna Yojana, Rs 1000 will be deposited in the accounts of sisters every month.

Water Resources Minister Tulsi Silavat said that today is a holy occasion that Kevat Jayanti is being celebrated at the Chief Minister’s residence. Kevat Jayanti will prove to be the foundation stone for development and progress. Chief Minister Chouhan Kevat is continuously working for progress and development to increase the pride of the society. The Fisheries Department is setting records in the entire nation. The credit for this goes to the Chief Minister Chouhan and the citizens of the Kevat community. Fishermen credit cards are being made rapidly in the entire state. No stone will be left unturned for the development of the society. The government is standing with you under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Chouhan.

Fishermen Welfare Board Chairman Sitaram Batham said that Lord Kevat of our society had taken Lord Rama across in a boat. Kevat community has contributed a lot in the development of the country. He demanded to give rights to the fishermen and boatmen community. Demanded for rest house to stay in Bhopal. He also urged to install idols of Lord Kevat in the state.

Earlier, the Chief Minister welcomed the brothers and sisters of the Kevat community by showering flowers and also floated the boat riding on the boat symbolizing the Kevat community. Offered wreaths on the pictures of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Kevat. The representatives of Kevat community welcomed the Chief Minister. The office bearers of the society presented a memento to the Chief Minister.
