Tankers of the Russian Federation fought the Ukrainian armed forces for 10 hours, hiding in a tank, then went to the slaughterhouse through the Ukrainian trenches, said the commander of the tank, chief of staff of the tank battalion, Senior Lieutenant Ilya Baganov.
“I sat in the tank for ten hours, fighting. And it was only with the onset of darkness that I was able to go out on my own. I got a bit lost there, of course, I ran through the Ukrainian trenches, took out the whole crew,” he said in a Russian Defense Ministry video.
The tank received 10 hits from a hand-held short-range anti-tank grenade launcher x 10 hours, but its defense was able to resist.
After getting out of the tank, the Russian crew descended into the trenches and later noticed that they were part of Ukrainian units.
Baganov explained that he saw a man with a flashlight, which, turning around, shone on his sleeve, on which there was a yellow bandage.
The crew contacted the battalion commander and crawled out of the Ukrainian Armed Forces trenches, having received an instruction.
The Ministry of Defense noted that the entire crew was injured: the commander was injured by shrapnel, the mechanic driver was injured in the legs and face, and the gunner was shocked by a shell.
Earlier, a battery of military aircraft with the call sign Shama said the dogs helped the Russian military successfully detect Ukrainian armed forces equipment.
