Overnight, Russia launched another series of missile strikes on Ukraine. An air alert was declared across the country.

Ukraine’s capital has suffered the ninth airstrike since early May. The head of the Kiev City Military Administration, Sergei Popko, announced a new series of airstrikes on Kiev, unprecedented in their power and intensity.

This time the attack, according to Popko, was carried out by Kh-101/555 cruise missiles from the Tu-95MS and Tu-160 strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea region. After the missiles were launched, reconnaissance drones were activated.

According to Popko, according to preliminary information, all hostile targets in Kyiv airspace have been detected and destroyed.

In three districts – Desnyansky, Darnitsky and Dneprovsky – falling debris was recorded, said Kiev Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. The greatest damage was recorded in the Darnitsa district – a fire broke out on the territory of a garage cooperative. The fire has been extinguished.

No casualties were reported.

The representative of the Odessa regional military administration, Sergei Bratchuk, said that as a result of a rocket attack on the Odessa region last night, one person was killed and two injured.

According to him, most of the missiles were shot down over the sea by air defense forces, but there was an impact on an industrial facility.

“Suspilne” informs about the explosions in the Vinnitsa, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims Valery Zaluzhny, that on Thursday evening, 29 of the 30 Russian sea, air and land cruise missiles fired at Ukraine were destroyed. Four drones were also destroyed, Zaluzhny said. This information cannot be quickly verified.

The Russian Defense Ministry did not comment on the new missile attacks on Ukrainian territory.
