Virat Kohli is running in amazing form in the current IPL. In the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, he played a stormy century innings and won his team. Kohli completed his century by hitting a six off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the 18th over of the innings.
However, he was caught at deep midwicket in an attempt to hit a similar shot on his very next ball. Kohli completed his century in 62 balls and was dismissed after scoring 100 runs in 63 balls. During this, he hit 12 fours and 4 sixes.
It is worth noting that this is Kohli’s sixth century in IPL. In this way, he has equaled Chris Gayle’s record of most centuries in this tournament.
Earlier, Sunrisers Hyderabad, batting first, scored 186 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. For them, Heinrich Klaasen scored a brilliant 104 off 51 balls to guide the team in trouble.
This was Klaasen’s first century in IPL. In response, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis gave a great start to RCB. Both added 171 runs in 17.5 overs for the first wicket and made the match completely one-sided. While Kohli got out after scoring 100 runs, du Plessis got out after scoring 71 runs.
