Bhopal. After former minister Deepak Joshi left BJP and joined Congress, another former minister has shown rebellious attitude. Harendrajit Singh alias Babbu, who was a minister in the Shivraj government, first accused the BJP state president of promoting factionalism and threatened his life, but later apologized and took back his words.
Former minister Harendrajit Singh alias Babbu, MLA from Jabalpur West assembly constituency, while talking to media persons in Bhopal on Thursday afternoon, alleged that BJP state president Vishnudutt Sharma was promoting factionalism in the party. He is in danger of his life from Sharma.
Talking to the media, former minister Babbu said that after his displeasure, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called him to meet him, but the state president refused to meet him. He put his point in front of eight senior party leaders including Ajay Jamwal, Murlidhar Rao, but got no response. Citing dedication to the party, he said that during the 1977 Emergency, my family was in jail.
He said that my 80-year-old grandfather, father, uncle and uncle remained in jail. My father and uncle were burnt alive in the 1984 riots. What would have happened to my family after that incident, it can be understood. My grandfather had died of shock. Dada’s two young sons had died in the 1984 riots.
Babbu said that not only us, but thousands and lakhs of people like us have made sacrifices for this party in the country. The kind of atmosphere that is being created in today’s situation is worrying for the party. The state president and his supporting leaders were also accused of defeating the last assembly elections. He said that when he went to meet Sharma’s house along with Anchal Sonkar, Sharad Jain, he threw me out of the house.
However, after eight hours, Babbu took a U-turn and apologized for his statement. He said that I have taken back my words. There is nothing like this in BJP. I can even die for the party. Whether I get ticket or not, I will not leave BJP and go anywhere.
An attempt was made to talk to BJP state president VD Sharma in this regard, but he did not respond.
