In the words of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman:
We seek peace, good, cooperation and construction in a way that realizes the interests of our peoples. We will not allow our region to become a field of conflict. Today, we welcome the presence of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad at this summit. The Palestinian question was and still is the central question of Arabs and Muslims and tops the priorities of the kingdom’s foreign policy. The Kingdom will not hesitate to help the Palestinian people recover their lands, restore their legitimate rights and establish an independent Palestinian state. We work to help the Yemeni spectrum reach a comprehensive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis. With regard to Sudan, we hope that the language of dialogue will be the basis for preserving the unity of Sudan and the security of its people. We reaffirm the Kingdom’s position in support of all that contributes to reducing the gravity of the crisis in Ukraine and preventing the deterioration of the humanitarian situation. The Kingdom is ready to continue mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine and to support all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically. Our Arab homeland has civilizational and cultural foundations, as well as human and natural resources, which qualify it to assume an advanced position and leadership, and to achieve a comprehensive renaissance for our countries and peoples in all fields.
