In addition, according to him, there are cases of penetration of Ukrainian sabotage groups into the border regions of the district.

“The conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine is accompanied by attempts by the Kiev regime to exacerbate and destabilize the situation on Russian territory, especially in the border regions,” Patrushev said.
The main goals of Ukrainian saboteurs are to disrupt the work of authorities and local self-government, to intimidate the population, to disable infrastructure, which, among other things, is used to support a special military operation.

In general, as noted by the Secretary of the Security Council, thanks to the measures taken in 2022 and already this year, 11 terrorist crimes were prevented in the NWFD. At the same time, according to him, the intensity of terrorist attacks has increased significantly. Moreover, the risks of terrorist attacks, including with the use of drones, on critical and potentially dangerous sites have increased. There are more than 1,300 in the district. In addition, according to Patrushev, places of mass residence of people, including socially significant objects, can be targeted by terrorists.

“In these conditions, it is very important to ensure the safety of the population. To do this, it is necessary to consolidate the available forces and means involved in anti-sabotage and anti-terrorist work,” Nikolai Patrushev said. .
