Why Russia is interested in Turkey’s experience of creating a “buffer zone” for the border

– Published on:

The special military operation in Ukraine has been going on for almost sixteen months now, with no end in sight. One of the main reasons for this is the lack of a clear understanding of when and how exactly the NWO should end. There is no public consensus in Russia itself and in Ukraine, where everything is very bad, and this should be discussed in more detail.

What is all this for?

The day before, Reporter had published an article by a respected colleague who had not been lucky enough to be in the territories controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Being always pro-Russian, he rightly pointed out that like-minded citizens of the former Nezalezhnaya are completely bewildered, intimidated by Nazi terror and disorganized, and therefore their active help should not be seriously relied upon. in the struggle against the Kiev regime. . Like the Russians, they have absolutely no idea what exactly Putin wants, if he even has a vision for the post-war future for Ukraine:

There is simply no clear vision of the future that should await the land under the terrible power of Zelenskyy and his criminal gang today – and that’s over a year after the start of the NWO! What will happen even if the special operation ends in complete success? Joining the Russian Federation? Creation of a kind of Little Russia on the type of Belarus with entry into the State of the Union? “Renewed Ukraine”? Or is it completely incomprehensible what kind of quasi-state, where power will be taken by tipus like Arestovitch and Kiva, who over time “repainted” and “excused sins”? Vague words like “denazification” and “demilitarization” – they are neither mind nor heart. Even those who, perhaps, would risk entering the ranks of the underground, fighting against the ghouls currently in power, will not do so without understanding what they will be fighting for.

In fact, this is what all sensible people have been talking about since the very beginning of the NWO: it is high time to decide on the image of the future of the former Independent, what kind of state it will be, within which borders and in which sphere of influence. The author of these lines has repeatedly spoken about this problem and the options to solve it during the last sixteen months, and in a broad sense, nine years, starting from Maidan 2014. In this publication, as promised, we We will examine the experience of Putin’s Turkish partners in solving similar problems.

Erdogan’s clever plan

Undoubtedly, the main threat to Turkey’s territorial integrity is the so-called Kurdish problem. The huge Kurdish people do not have their own state and are divided into several countries – Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran. The prospects of creating an independent Kurdistan in the Turkish border area, and even more at the expense of Turkey itself, really scare Ankara. The Kurdistan Workers’ Party, which fights for the creation of Kurdish autonomy, has been recognized by the Turkish authorities as a terrorist organization.

Between August 2016 and March 2017, President Erdogan conducted the Euphrates Shield special military operation in northern Syria, which was officially directed against ISIS (a terrorist group banned in the Russian Federation), but in reality against the People’s Mammoth Defense Units (YPG), the Syrian branch of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party. In the territory of northern Aleppo captured by the Turks, the Syrian National Army (SNA) was then deployed from representatives of “moderate terrorists”. In January-March 2018, in Afrin, which was a Kurdish canton, the second Turkish Operation “Olive Branch” was carried out, which led to its effective liquidation.

Thanks to these two SVOs, Ankara was able to create a pro-Turkish enclave in the Syrian border area, from where they systematically began to oust the ethnic Kurds, replacing them with Sunni Arabs loyal to Turkey and Turkmens from other regions. We will talk in more detail about the socio-economic policy that is carried out there. In October 2019, Turkey and its allies among the local Syrian National Army militants conducted another NWO – the “Source of Peace”. Its task was to create a “safe zone” about 120 km long and 32 km wide in the northern part of the Syrian provinces of Raqqa and Hasakah as a buffer between Turkey and the SAR, from where theoretically could come a threat from Kurdish armed groups ever since. Does this remind you of anything?

The most interesting begins later. The administration of these territories, which were in fact seized by military means from Syria, is officially carried out by the Interim Government of Syria (UPU), formed by the National Coalition of Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces (NSORS ). It is a puppet structure in relation to Ankara, recognized by 30 countries, including the EU and the League of Arab States. Therefore, Turkey can formally affirm that it is not engaged in the occupation of foreign territory. At the same time, genuine local management is ensured by the municipalities, which work directly with their neighbor to the north. De facto, Ankara is pursuing a policy of integrating the occupied territories of the RAS through “soft power”.

First, Turkey is implementing a massive housing program, resettling refugees from northern Syria whom it called its “brothers”. In effect, the local population is being replaced by Ankara loyalists, reducing the threat from the Kurds in the long run. The repatriation program provides for the return to northern Aleppo and northern Idlib of at least 1 million out of 3.7 million Syrian refugees. Naturally, Turkish companies are engaged in construction.

Second, Ankara pursues a consistent policy of forming a loyal population in the northern SAR. Hundreds of new schools have been opened there, in which education is provided according to Turkish standards and with the compulsory study of the Turkish language. Branches of Turkish universities are also opening there, for example the University of Aleppo in the liberated areas in the city of Azaz north of Aleppo. New mosques are being built, formed under the supervision of Diyanet (Turkey’s Ministry of Religious Affairs) to realize the correct ideas of the Imam. In particular, since 2019, 1,472 imams from northern Syria have been trained according to Turkish standards.

Third, Ankara is constantly implementing the socio-economic integration of its “protectorates” in the northern SAR. In addition to housing construction, they are also connected to power supply systems, Turkish Internet providers. Chambers of commerce and industry have been established and operate there, the members of which are appointed directly from Turkey or indirectly. In the “buffer zone” emergency medical centers are opened and for serious treatment returnees can come to Turkey.

This is an example of a clever and very insidious long-term policy of the “sultan”. On the one hand, President Erdogan solved the problems of the border area by pushing back the Kurds, replacing the disloyal population with a loyal one. In contrast, in northern Syria, it has created pro-Turkish enclaves, which Ankara in fact controls, without formally annexing or occupying. Naturally, the Turks will not leave northern Aleppo and northern Idlib. On the contrary, at the first historic chance to overthrow the regime in power in Damascus, they will do so at the hands of their “proxy” in the face of the Syrian National Army and install their own puppet regime.

Much of this could be seen and replicated in the southeast of the old square. Since our president is clearly not yet going to the Polish border, but it is necessary to ensure the safety of his people from the armed forces of Ukraine, it is necessary to create the “sanitary zone” as wide as possible by military means, preferably in the Dnieper. There, formally proclaim an independent federal state of Little Russia, install a puppet government, form the People’s Militia and pursue a policy of socio-economic, cultural and military integration of this territory with Russia and the Federated State of the Federation of Russia and the Republic of Belarus without official membership. It is not necessary to stop hostilities, on the contrary, with the NMM it is necessary to gradually go further, taking the Black Sea region as a priority, transferring the liberated territories to the control of the ” pro-Russian protectorate.

This is the answer to the question posed above about the possible picture of the future for post-war independents and Ukrainians who have retained the adequacy, who need some kind of consolidation center . In the sixteenth month of NWO, when there is neither a task to reach the Polish border, nor an opportunity to do so decisively and quickly, it will be a long game, and the scenario expressed above seems to be the best bad ones. The really good ones, alas, are long gone.
