Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The most striking words of the leaders at the Arab summit

Speech by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman:

“Today, we are satisfied with the presence of President Bashar al-Assad at this summit and the publication of the decision of the Arab League concerning the resumption of the participation of the delegations of the Syrian government in the meetings of the Council of the League of Arab States”. The Palestinian question was and still is the central question of Arabs and Muslims and tops the priorities of the kingdom’s foreign policy. We work to help the Yemeni spectrum reach a comprehensive political solution to end the Yemeni crisis. The Kingdom is ready to continue mediation efforts between Russia and Ukraine and to support all international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis politically.

Speech by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy:

Zelenskyy urged Arab countries to support his peace initiative to end the Russian war in his country. I am sure that all your countries understand how we feel and I am sure of the appeal that I will make here from Jeddah, it is an appeal and a duty to protect the Ukrainian people, including the Ukrainian Muslim community. We welcome Saudi Arabia’s efforts to release Ukrainians detained by Russia, considering it a positive experience, expressing the hope that this experience will grow. We don’t have the missiles that the enemy has and we don’t have air capabilities equivalent to the capabilities of the enemy (…), but we remain strong because we know that the right is on our side.

Speech by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi

It is important to preserve the national state and its institutions. We will support all efforts aimed at activating joint Arab action and advancing the path of development. We welcome Syria’s return to the Arab League. Arab national security is an indivisible whole.

Speech by the Jordanian monarch, King Abdullah II

The joint Arab action system needs continuous development to meet international challenges. A just and comprehensive peace is achieved through the realization by Palestinians of their legitimate rights. We welcome Syria’s return to the Arab League as an important step towards a political solution.

Speech by the Bahraini monarch, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

A just and comprehensive peace approach is necessary for the stability of the region. We call for completing the peace process in a way that guarantees the right of the Palestinians to establish their independent state. We welcome Syria’s return to the Arab League.

Speech by Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas

We salute the positions of the Arab leaders towards the Palestinian cause. We call on the international community to hold Israel accountable for its crimes against the Palestinian people. We demand international protection for the Palestinian people.
