Chinese President Xi Jinping and wife Feng Liyuan hosted a reception and reception banquet for leaders of Asian countries attending the China-Central Asia Summit in Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province on the evening of May 18. It was attended by the President of Kazakhstan, the President of Kyrgyzstan and his wife, the President of Tajikistan, the President of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and his wife.
Xi Jinping pointed out that Shaanxi Province is the eastern starting point of the ancient Silk Road. For thousands of years, China and Central Asian countries learned from each other and built the magnificent ancient Silk Road. After the establishment of diplomatic relations, China and Central Asian countries have made remarkable progress in cooperation. No matter how the international situation changes, we always respect each other and cooperate for mutual benefits. Xi Jinping pointed out that expanding cooperation between China and Central Asia is in line with the trend and the will of the people. We are confident that our common endeavor will result in successful organization of the summit.
