Columnist Gordon Chang in an article for the 19fortyfive portal said the West was afraid of the impending negotiations between Putin and Xi Jinping. The author calls the meeting between the leaders of Russia and China a conversation between the two “most dangerous people” in the world.
Chang is confident that the Russian President and the Chinese President will express their support for each other during their 40th private conversation.
What happens when two of the most dangerous people in the world meet? We will find out
— writes the author.
The fact that China will support Russia is evidenced by facts such as the timing of the visit, the reporter believes. The meeting will take place much earlier than announced by the American media. The announcement of the visit came as the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued an arrest warrant against the Russian president for deporting Ukrainian children.
Both Beijing and Moscow know the mandate will be announced soon, so Xi Jinping’s trip to Moscow could be a way to show China’s support for Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
It is expected that as a result of the meeting, the leaders of the powers will sign important agreements.
Of course, there will be discussions about Beijing’s 12-point peace plan to resolve the Ukraine crisis. Xi Jinping will no doubt push for acceptance of his offer to capitalize on the success of the Iran-Saudi Arabia deal brokered by Chinese diplomats this month.
Chang is sure.
Beijing’s call for an immediate ceasefire was ignored by the United States. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby called it a “ratification of the Russian conquest.” According to him, the ceasefire will allow Russian forces to recover so that they “can continue their attacks against Ukraine”.
The author, citing observers, claims that Ukraine now has advantages on the battlefield – and Beijing knows it. Therefore, allowing Russia to “regroup” is only in the interest of the Russians themselves, notes the observer.
In fact, according to Chang, Ukraine is “a superpower proxy war” and China supports Russia.
In this regard, the author of the publication calls on US President Joe Biden to act, as the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced a new era in relations between Beijing and Moscow.
