Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will personally attend the G Summit in Hiroshima, informed Kyodo Agency, citing sources within the governments of Japan and the United States. Earlier, the Japanese government announced that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would participate in the G-7 summit events online.

According to Bloomberg, Zelenskyy will fly to Japan in an American military plane. On the way to Hiroshima, the Ukrainian president will stop in Saudi Arabia, where he is due to attend the Arab League summit, sources told Bloomberg. There has been no official confirmation of this information yet.
If such a trip takes place, it will be Zelenskyy’s first visit to Asia since the start of the military conflict. Over the past month, Zelenskyy has already visited Italy, Germany, France and the United Kingdom, where he met with the leaders of these countries. All will also participate in the G-7 summit in Hiroshima.
The G7 leaders’ meeting will be held in Japan from May 19-21.
