Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The White House said it would work with allies to determine when to transfer the F-16 to Kiev in the coming months

The issue of deliveries of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine will be resolved in the coming months, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said. The United States and its allies, while Ukrainian pilots are trained on the F-16, will determine who will supply these planes to Kyiv and in what quantity, reports TASS.

According to Sullivan, Kyiv does not need the F-16 at the moment, but will need it in the future. He added that the United States had addressed the topic of strengthening the Ukrainian Air Force “as part of Ukraine’s long-term commitment to self-defense.”

The representative of the White House assured that the military means that Washington provides to Ukraine, Kyiv undertakes not to use them for strikes on Russian territory.

Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden at the G7 summit will announce a new package of military assistance to Kiev. Sullivan said the United States adheres to the head of state’s instructions to do everything possible to support Ukraine, but in a way that “avoids World War III.”
