Adelaide. Australia defeated the Indian women’s hockey team 3-2 in the second match of the three-match series.

Tatum Stewart (12th and 45th minutes) scored two goals for Australia and Pippa Morgan (38th) scored one goal. Sangeeta Kumari (13th) and Gurjit Kaur (17th) scored the goals for India.

With this victory, Australia, ranked third in the world rankings, took an unbeatable 2-0 lead. Eighth-ranked India had earlier lost 2-4 in the series opener at the Met Stadium on Thursday. The third and last match of the series will be played here on Sunday. India will also play Australia ‘A’ team during the Australian tour.
