May 22, 2023

According to what the Ukrainian General Staff announced on Facebook, the attacks were carried out against soldiers and infrastructure “by a group of Iranian-made Shahed missiles and drones”.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported that its forces had destroyed all the steps and 4 cruise missiles.

And Ukraine’s Defense Ministry announced earlier Monday morning that its forces succeeded in shooting down 15 Russian drones and 4 cruise missiles targeting the city of Dnipro.

And an earlier statement from the Ukrainian military, released in the morning, said that “at dawn today (Monday), the Russian military launched a massive missile and air attack. Information will be published as soon as it is updated”.

The statement added: “During the past day, the Russians launched 6 missiles and launched 52 airstrikes, 65 attacks from multiple rocket launchers, the attacks destroyed and damaged private homes and civilian infrastructure.

The statement said the Ukrainian cities of Liman, Sloviansk and Kostantinevka were targeted and the Russians again used S-300 air defense systems, which are not high-precision weapons. “This once again confirms the terrorist tactic that the Russian Federation has chosen to use,” the statement said.

RBC-Ukraine news agency reported that about 15 explosions were heard at Dnipro during more than 90 minutes of air raid warnings.
