Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, receiving Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoy with a full report on Belarusian-Russian cooperation, said Western countries cannot strangle Russia and Belarus with sanctions due to the intensification of Belarusian-Russian economic cooperation.
“It was not possible to strangle us, nor Russia, nor even Belarus. And a lot of that is down to our economy, thanks to the fact that we and Russia are committed to pulling this ‘cart’ together,” the president said.
According to Lukashenka, Belarusian companies use Russian logistics directorates for export, including ports, railways and road transport.
He also added that Krutoy is obliged to “control the port economy”, which Belarus is developing on the territory of Russia, as well as bottlenecks in terms of rail communication and the development of road freight.
The day before, Lukashenko, on behalf of his people, congratulated all Norwegian citizens on Constitution Day, but noted with regret that Oslo had joined the anti-Minsk sanctions, violating the rights of ordinary residents of the Belarus.
