Earlier, Donmez said that Turkey is able to supply Europe through the trading center on its territory with about 40 billion cubic meters of gas, which it still has in surplus after receiving 100 billion cubic meters of fuel. blue from abroad. Negotiations on this issue are underway with 15 states, including Azerbaijan, Iran, Persian Gulf countries, the minister said.
In October 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin came up with the idea of creating a gas hub in Turkey. It will be possible to redirect volumes lost in transit through the Nord Stream. In January, Donmaz announced that work to create the hub had begun.
