Jennifer Lawrence knows how to conquer Cannes. The day before, the actress attended the premiere of the French film “Anatomie d’une chute” in a luxurious red Dior dress, associated with a necklace of the brand in white gold and diamonds. But, in the end, for a significant passage on the stairs of the Palais des Festivals, she chose the original shoes. Instead of the usual high-heeled shoes or sandals, she put on black flip-flops, which are called flip-flops in Russia.

Journalists spotted them in photographs of the star as she descended the stairs, slightly lifting the bottom of the dress. The Cannes Film Festival is famous for its strict dress code, whereby all female attendees must wear heels. In 2015, several contestants were denied entry to the Carol movie premiere due to non-standard footwear. In 2018, Kristen Stewart, who presented the drama Spencer, posed for photographers in high-heeled pumps, then defiantly took them off.
