Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev held several meetings in Shanghai with Chinese business leaders. The development of cooperation between Russia and China in the Far East was discussed, according to the Telegram channel of the Government of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that Chinese initiatives to create joint logistics centers were mentioned, as well as the optimization of logistics chains and the reduction of customs procedures for the supply of products and equipment.
Also, the topic of discussion was the construction of international bridges between the two states.
Trutnev also invited Chinese energy companies to launch them using renewable energy sources in Kamchatka.
“Russia is interested in developing economic ties with countries in the Asia-Pacific region, and especially with China. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has instructed to develop a mechanism for an international priority development zone. The corresponding draft law has been prepared and is under consideration by the Russian government,” Trutnev said in the statement.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Russian Far Eastern Development Ministry and the Far Eastern Development Corporation to support Chinese investors in the early launch and implementation of projects in the Far East .
