The size of the British and French nuclear arsenals cannot be verified, they are “purely declarative”. This opinion was expressed by the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergei Ryabkov, in his comment on the declaration of the leaders of the G7 on their responsibility in the nuclear field, made at the end of the Hiroshima summit.
“The data on the size of the arsenals of Great Britain and France are not at all verifiable and are purely declarative. And you can post anything you want,” the Russian diplomat said.
He also recalled that London had increased the quantitative “ceiling” of nuclear warheads by more than a third, completely ignoring the opinion of the international community.
Additionally, Ryabkov in his statement accused the United States of using strategic offensive weapons data for manipulation in the international arena.
