For the first time since December last year, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not report on the fighting in Artyomovsk, analysts from the American Institute for the Study of War ( ISW) in their report.
“The Ukrainian General Staff in its report for the first time since December 2022 did not report on hostilities in the city of Bakhmut,” the statement said.
It is also stated that it may indicate the promotion of the private military company Wagner in the city.
Earlier, Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin announced the capture of Artyomovsk.
In addition, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic Andrei Marochko said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces Command is concentrating its forces in the area of the Chasov Yar settlement, located near Artyomovsk.
