A Russian Su-27 fighter plane stopped two American B-1B bombers from breaching borders. This was reported to the Russian Defense Ministry.
Two targets were detected on Tuesday May 23 above the Baltic Sea. To avoid violating the borders of the Russian Federation, the Su-27 was lifted into the air. The crew classified the targets as US-owned bombers and took the established duty area into the air, added the Russian Defense Ministry.
When foreign aircraft were withdrawn from Russian borders, the fighter returned to its base airfield.
Earlier it was reported that US drones stopped flying over the Black Sea after the Reaper drone crashed. The last flight of an American drone in the region was recorded on March 21.
