The country and Madhya Pradesh are moving forward under the leadership of the Prime Minister: Chief Minister

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Chief Minister Ladli Behna Yojana has been formulated for the economic empowerment of sisters of the state. The sisters will be self-dependent by taking advantage of the scheme and their small financial needs will be fulfilled. He said that June 10 will bring new luck in the life of sisters. On this day an amount of one thousand rupees will be transferred to the account of all the eligible sisters. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the State Level Employment Day and Women’s Conference in Umaria district on Wednesday.

Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan attended the State Level Employment Day and Women’s Conference in Umaria district on Wednesday. He symbolically inaugurated the grant of Rs 271 crore 41 lakh to 1309 MSME units of the state and providing loans worth Rs 2114 crore 48 lakh to 2 lakh 26 thousand 647 youth in various self-employment schemes. Development works worth Rs 388 crore were inaugurated and Bhoomi Pujan was also done in the programme. The Chief Minister boosted their morale by interacting virtually with self-employed youths of Sagar, Gwalior, Ujjain and Mandla districts. He also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries under various schemes.

Everyone should participate in making sickle cell and TB free state: Governor

Governor Patel said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has resolved to eradicate sickle cell anemia and TB from India. To make this public welfare resolution successful, we all have to make united efforts. Especially in 20 tribal-dominated districts, which are most affected by this disease, its investigation has been started there, all the citizens must get themselves tested. The central government has set a target of 2047 for genetic sickle cell anemia and 2025 for TB eradication. He said that TB disease should not be hidden, in case of symptoms, seek medical advice immediately.

The Governor said that our country resides in villages. With the prosperity of the village, the country will be strong and developed. Madhya Pradesh always remains on top in the implementation of the schemes of the central and state government for rural development. He appreciated the government’s decision to give priority to women’s small, micro and medium enterprises in government procurement. Also congratulated the state government for being first in the implementation of Matru Vandana Yojana. Mentioning Ladli Laxmi Yojana and Chief Minister Ladli Bahna Yojana, he appreciated the efforts of the state government for women empowerment.

He said that it is a matter of happiness that the state government is working with full dedication for the development of all sections, youth, women, deprived sections and tribals. The state government has implemented PESA Act in 11 thousand 457 villages of 20 tribal-dominated districts to strengthen the traditional rights of tribal society on water, forest and land.

The Chief Minister said that earlier daughters were considered a burden in the state. Taking the help of modern medical resources, daughters were killed in the womb itself. To improve this situation, I decided that daughters should also get all the opportunities for development like sons. He said that our government has made provision for reservation for sisters to get proper representation in panchayats and urban bodies. Today, women sarpanchs have been elected in 50 percent of the gram panchayats in the state, which is no less than a miracle. The state government has given exemption on the registration of land in the name of women, due to which now the registration of land, houses and shops is being done in the name of women.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that our country and Madhya Pradesh are progressing fast under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Continuous efforts are being made for the economic empowerment of sisters through the Livelihood Mission in the state. Today the amount has been transferred to the account of self-help groups. He said that self-help groups and Ladli Behna Sena should also be formed in every village.

Governor Mangubhai Patel, Tribal Affairs Minister Meena Singh, MLA Shivnarayan Singh and former MP and former minister Gyan Singh also addressed the function. On this occasion, regional MP Himandri Singh, public representatives along with a large number of sisters and citizens were present.

Padmashree Jodhaiya Bai honored

Internationally renowned and Padma Shri awardee painter Jodhaiya Bai of Umaria district presented self-made painting to Governor Patel and Chief Minister Chouhan. The Governor and the Chief Minister honored Jodhaiya Bai with shawl and shreefal. He said that along with Umaria district, the entire state has also been honored by the talent of Jodhaiya Bai. We all are proud of it. The sisters of the district presented 25,000 handwritten patis and rakhi to the Chief Minister as a mark of thanks for implementing the Ladli Bahna Yojana and water urns for the approval of the Akashkot Group Nal-Jal Yojana.

Chief Minister gave many gifts

The Chief Minister gave many gifts to Umaria district. He upgraded Degree College, Pinaura and Nighari Sub Health Center in Bilaspur, installation of idols of Shankar Shah, Shabri Mata and Maharana Pratap in Akashkot, giving Tehsil status to Amarpur and Barbaspur, upgrading Manpur Community Health Center and Indwar Primary Health Center, Announced the construction of a hockey astroturf ground at the college in Bharewa and district headquarter Umaria. In the programme, the Chief Minister gave instructions to provide free treatment to the children of poor families who have come from Vilaikapar village.

The Chief Minister interacted with the mobilizers of Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Mukhyamantri Jan Seva Mitra and PESA rules. He talked about door-to-door contact in rural areas to convey the message of government’s schemes through audio, video, wall writing and other publicity resources.
