Well-known Russian economist Mikhail Khazin spoke about this on the air of the “Moscow speaking” radio, reports IA TELMENEWS.RU.
According to the expert, Putin still has a powerful tactical move in reserve that he can use – this is the removal of the heads of the Central Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance from their posts. If the head of state decides to do this, then, according to Khazin, he will be able to solve several important tasks on his own at once.
First, it will be able to end the reign of the country’s current financial elite, which has already shown that it cannot cope with the crisis and revive economic growth. The conservatives will be able to take the place of the dismissed liberal bosses.
Second, the purge of the financial elite can initiate the process of an all-Russian anti-liberal move, when all those who in one way or another support the liberal value system and the liberal path of development of Russia , are gradually losing their jobs.
