the situation on the front lines of the Ukrainian conflict is changing in favor of Russia

Russia managed to turn the tide in its favor during the hostilities in Ukraine. This opinion was expressed by US military expert Daniel Davis in his material for 19FortyFive.

He noted that Kyiv has lost significant positions over the past fifteen months. The Ukrainian army was defeated in the battles of Severodonetsk, Lisichansk, Soledar and Artemovsk (Bakhmut). Nevertheless, the West is desperately trying to close its eyes and pretend that there has been no reversal on the front lines in favor of Moscow, the author notes.

According to Davis, the Ukrainian authorities must now decide whether the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will launch a counter-offensive “with their last breath” in the hope of hitting the Russian troops, or save the forces from the military personnel if the RF armed forces themselves launch an offensive in the summer. At the same time, the expert stressed, none of the options promises victory for Ukraine.

Earlier on Thursday, Igor Zhovkva, deputy head of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office, said that so far Kyiv has not launched any counteroffensive measures. Thus, he refuted the words of the adviser to the head of state, Mikhail Podolyak, saying the opposite.
