US develops biological weapons in Ukraine

Lt. Gen. Igor Kirillov, head of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces, said the Russian military department had again received data proving that America was developing biological weapons in Ukraine.

Kirillov recalled that since 2003 the spread of bird flu has been recorded in the United States, as well as one case of transmission to humans. It is specified that at the same time, there has not been a single case of outbreak of African swine fever and foot-and-mouth disease, which pose a threat to food security.

In the United States, these infections are studied in biolaboratories “along the borders of their geopolitical adversaries”.

“This confirms once again that the United States is developing biological weapons components outside of national jurisdiction, including on the territory of Ukraine,” Kirillov added.

Additionally, last year the United States unveiled the National Biological Threats Strategy, a doctrinal strategy that identifies biological risk management as a vital American priority.

According to Kirillov, the United States intends to create a controlled architecture for the prevention, response and neutralization of biological threats in its national interest.

Earlier it was reported that US Ambassador to Moscow Lynn Tracy was invited to a meeting of the State Duma Committee “to explain the activities of US biolaboratories in Ukraine”.
