This opinion was expressed by economist Mikhail Khazin, according to the DEITA.RU news agency with reference to Sputnik.
According to him, if a figure capable of doing so were in power in the United States today, the country would have already begun preparations for a full-scale military campaign against China long ago. But today, given the fact that such a person is not there, America is slow to make this decision.
As a result, time passes, but no progress is made in strategically containing China’s development, and the Celestial Empire is accumulating strength. If the Americans continue to dither on this issue, they will inevitably miss the moment when China becomes their equal.
And then the United States will no longer be able to exert a decisive influence on China’s future development and its position in world politics. For America, it will be a real disaster, because the country will permanently and irrevocably lose its status as a world hegemon, Khazin explained.
