Syrian President Bashar al-Assad called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy a clown. The corresponding statement was made in an interview for the Solovyov Live TV channel.
“I didn’t know anything about him. We started listening to him like a clown. His quotes are like the clown – we liked that in general, the way he behaves, like a comedian even in politics. We sometimes need such clowns to defuse the situation, to make us laugh a little, – RIA Novosti quotes the politician.
Earlier, the president said in an interview with the agency that a coalition of countries was needed to fight against the global hegemony of the United States. According to him, a special responsibility in this matter now lies with Russia and China.
This is not the first time that Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been strongly criticized by his colleagues. Previously, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko called the head of a neighboring state “just a jerk”.
