Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sought time from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi to urge Parliament to vote against the Ordinance relating to Delhi. These days Kejriwal, along with his Council of Ministers, is meeting prominent leaders of anti-BJP parties and requesting them to oppose the Ordinance related to Delhi when the Bill is presented in the Parliament. Kejriwal is well aware that it is not possible for the opposition to stop the Ordinance when it will be introduced in the Parliament to give it the shape of a Bill in the coming session. With the help of its allies and friendly parties, the government will get this ordinance passed in the Rajya Sabha as well. But he has to present himself in the 2024 parliamentary elections on the pretext of this, so he is meeting everyone from Chief Minister Mamata Banja to Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar.
Surprisingly, when Kejriwal requested Uddhav Thackeray to vote against the bill, he did not respond because he knows that the real Shiv Sena is led by Shide and when the whip is issued, the Uddhav faction will also be affected. Vote in favor of the bill only. Otherwise their membership will be in jeopardy. So it is clear that he is doing politics of 2024 on the pretext of ordinance and Congress understands this very well. That’s why she is taunting their campaign by calling it a farce that the ordinance is in line with the constitutional arrangement that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru and Sardar Patel had given for Delhi. Congress is saying that Arvind Kejriwal needs privileges, not rights, which his predecessors Chief Ministers Madan Lal Khurana, Sahib Singh Verma, Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dixit did not have, yet they developed Delhi by staying in their jurisdiction.
