Devi Lok will be built on the lines of Mahakal Lok at a cost of Rs 211 crore. Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday laid the foundation stone of Vijayasan Mata’s Grand Devilok to be built at a cost of Rs 211 crore at the famous Devi Dham Salkanpur in Sehore district. Worshiped On this occasion, he said that it is also the responsibility of the government to promote religion and culture which connects people to people along with development works. In Salkanpur, in the presence of monks, saints, mahants and priests from all over the country, about one lakh devotees witnessed the land-worship of the construction of the grand Devi Lok. On this occasion, Chief Minister Chouhan said that it is the blessings of the mother that the government has enacted a law to hang those who wrongly see sisters and daughters and do wrong with them. The Chief Minister also worshiped the water and holy soil from all the Shaktipeeths of the country along with the stones. All these materials will be used in the construction of Devilok. He said that his government has made Mukhyamantri Laadli Bahna Yojana for the honor of sisters and for their small needs. Describing the respect of women as the topmost priority of the government, he said that many schemes including Ladli Lakshmi and Chief Minister Kanya Vivah have been implemented for women empowerment and respect. The Chief Minister said that along with the temple structure, replicas of 64 yoginis, nine forms of Navadurga, Devi Mahatma, Durga Saptashati and various Shaktipeeths, and verses would be engraved in the temple premises at a cost of Rs 166 crore. He informed that construction work will be done under the temple at a cost of Rs 45 crore for the convenience of the devotees. Member of Parliament Vidisha Ramakant Bhargava also addressed. Earlier, the Chief Minister visited the Devilok exhibition in Salkanpur and the model of Mahadevi Lok under construction. He visited the replica of Mata Vijayasan Temple built at the stage site. During this, the Chief Minister also participated in the Rath Yatra of Mata taken out with music. The Chief Minister welcomed around one lakh devotees in a well-equipped vehicle and thanked them for giving a historic look to the event.
The bhajans of famous bhajan singer Kanhaiya Mittal from Haryana graced the festival. Along with this, the performance of Dhol, Nagade, Tashe, Jhanj and Damru etc. added to the charm. On this occasion, Health Minister Dr. Prabhuram Chaudhary, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel along with MLAs, Chief Minister’s wife Sadhna Singh, son Kartikeya Singh Chauhan were also present in the programme.
