Chief Minister participated in Ladli Bahna Mahasammelan in Malajkhand

– Inauguration and foundation stone laying of works worth more than 207 crores

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that many schemes are being run for women empowerment in the state. The purpose of my life is to change the lives of women and bring smiles on their faces. No sister in the state will remain helpless, we will make them strong. I will not let tears come in the eyes of my sisters.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the Chief Minister’s Ladli Bahna Sammelan at Malajkhand in Balaghat district on Tuesday. He performed bhoomi-pujan and inaugurated development works worth Rs 207 crore. The Chief Minister was welcomed by the tribal community with traditional form of dance and musical instruments.

The Chief Minister said that in earlier decades, despair was visible on the faces of the parents when a daughter was born. At the same time, worries about the daughter’s upbringing, education and marriage used to bother her. Ladli Laxmi Yojana was started in the state to remove this agony of the poor class. While the social attitude towards daughters has changed with the schemes and programs started for women empowerment, there has also been an increase in the sex ratio of the state. Balaghat is included in those districts of the state, where the sex ratio is very good. Here the son and the daughter are seen equally. Today I am very happy with the love and affection I have received from my sisters. Every single breath of a daughter is for her parents, she can never forget them.

He said that today I am happy to say that more than 44 lakh Ladli Lakshmi are my daughters, daughter is not a burden but a boon. He said that the properties are now being registered in the name of women. The government had decided that 50 percent reservation should be given to women in local elections. The effect of this has been that now women are holding the posts of panch, sarpanch, councillor, district, district panchayat president and members and they are running the government.

The Chief Minister said that on the evening of June 10, the amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana would be deposited in the accounts of the sisters. Sisters will be able to withdraw this amount the next day on June 11. As a brother, it is also my duty to give some gifts to my sisters. For this, an amount of Rs 1000 per month will be given in the accounts of the sisters. With this amount, the sisters will be able to fulfill their needs and the needs of the family.

He said that forms of one crore 25 lakh eligible sisters have been accepted in the state. Ladli Bahna Sena is being formed in every village to monitor the schemes run in the interest of women at the field level. 21 women members will be included in big villages and 11 women members in small villages. Collector Dr. Girish Mishra said that 3 lakh 53 thousand forms have been filled in the district, out of which DBT work has been completed in 3 lakh 41 thousand accounts.

The Chief Minister said that many innovative schemes are being implemented to empower women. With the introduction of Ladli Bahna Yojana, the work of women empowerment has become easier in the state. With the amount received from the scheme, women will not have to depend on other people for small expenses. Their economic condition is being strengthened by associating women with the livelihood mission. It is my resolve that the monthly income of each sister should be Rs 10,000.

The Chief Minister went among the public and greeted them at the Ladli Bahna Sammelan. The conference started with Kanya Puja and lighting the lamp. The Chief Minister announced starting of postgraduate classes in Malanjkhand College, construction of boundary wall and leveling of sports ground, dividers and beautification in Malanjkhand town.
