The whole life of many great heroes who have imbibed Indian culture gives such an inspiration, which gives a sense of nationalism to the country and the society. It is said that the one who works for the benefit of the society without worrying about his self, that hero definitely becomes worshipable. The great revolutionary Birsa Munda has been one such hero, who sacrificed his life for the sake of the country and the society. Birsa Munda, who fought for the interests of the social, especially the tribal society, created such a mass movement against the British rule ruling India, which mobilized the tribal society and made them aware and the British had to leave the land of India. However, there have been many such patriots and courageous heroes in history, whose description is not visible in today’s history.

The reason why this was done to the brave patriots was because after independence, the rulers of India did not allow their names to come out in favor of the inspirational heroes. There can also be a big reason behind this that if such heroes were brought in front, then naturally the society would be eager to know about them and due to this curiosity, the flow of nationalism would arise in crores of minds of the country. But due to political malice, efforts were made to degrade the nationalism for a long time. The result of which was that the society of India was influenced by the ideas of the West. For this reason, the extinction of the Indian spirit also happened. But now the pages of history are being scratched. Efforts are also being made to trace the real history of India. The inspirational heroes of the country have also started coming forward.

In the present times, there is a need for serious contemplation and meditation on how our ideals should be. Seeing today’s situation shows that we have stopped creating ideals for the upliftment of our lives. That’s why the person considers himself completely right. While there should be continuity of learning in life. Ideal is also very important for this. Birsa Munda’s whole life is such an ideal, due to which the national spirit blossoms. From where there is an ideal sense of direction to become the hero of the society. Birsa Munda has been such an ideal of the Indian society, whom we remember with pride with our heads held high. Due to the immense contribution made by him to the country, his picture is displayed in the museum of the Parliament of India. Very few heroes get such an honor. If we talk about tribal society, till now only Birsa Munda has been able to get this respect from this society.

Birsa Munda was born in Khunti district of Jharkhand. The enthusiasm of the nation was visible in his mind since childhood. There was hatred towards the English power in his mind. The reason behind this was the extreme of affinity towards the Indian society, especially the tribal society. The British used to criticize the Indian society and its culture from the very beginning, this thing used to sting deep inside Birsa Munda who loved the country. This was the reason that even after studying in the missionary school, he returned to his tribal ways, but in the midst of all this, there was a turning point in his life when in 1894 he joined the Sardar Andolan for the demand of land and forest rights of the tribals. joined in. During the freedom struggle, many such heroes were born on the land of India who got their names written in golden letters in history. It doesn’t take long for a small voice to become a slogan, the one who raises that voice should have guts and Birsa Munda was a living example of this. Birsa Munda played an important role in the development of Bihar and Jharkhand and in the freedom movement of India. Rejecting the existence of British power, he ordered his followers not to pay rent to the government.

He spent most of his childhood in the akhada. Had a deep impact on Birsa Munda’s life. By 1895, Birsa Munda started emerging as a successful leader who wanted to spread awareness among the people. During the famine of 1894, Birsa Munda agitated for the demand of waiver of rent from the British for his Munda community and others. He was arrested in 1895 and sentenced to two years imprisonment in Hazaribagh Central Jail, which is why he got the status of a great man during his lifetime. Birsa took his last breath on 09 June 1900 in Ranchi Jail. Birsa is worshiped like a god in the tribal areas of the country.
