188 delegates from the conference of the Krasnoyarsk regional party branch voted for Kotyukov’s candidacy out of 214.
Kotyukov in his opening speech said that the development of the Krasnoyarsk Territory is hampered by “the state of the roads, the lack of personnel, the deterioration of the buildings of budgetary institutions”, as well as the exodus of young people from the region . According to him, the inhabitants of the region are the most concerned by five themes: roads, health, ecology, education and housing and communal services.
Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramenko, who oversees the Siberian regions, appointed Kotyukov’s main task is “to justify the trust of our president and the expectations of his compatriots and to make the Krasnoyarsk Territory even stronger.” The election for the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory will take place on September 10 on a single voting day.

In October 2022, the son of politician Artem Uss was detained in Italy at the request of the United States, where he is charged with violations of sanctions, money laundering and smuggling.
