Can you imagine a football pitch? What about ten fields? On such a large territory this year the site of the festival “Kupalya” will be located. The party, which started in 2010 as a local event, has grown into an international event over the years. Today, Alexandria is not only known as the small homeland of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. This is the place where the most lively and large-scale celebration of the ancient holiday, fanned by a huge number of legends and traditions.
“Kupala” turned into a festival on the banks of the Dnieper not by chance. The river bed served as the cradle of the culture of many Slavic peoples, and the water artery was once an integral part of the trade route “from the Varangians to the Greeks”. The current exhibition-fair “Protection of peace and unity of the union”, or the city of craftsmen, will return to the dynamism of the exchanges which characterized these territories. In addition to the six regions of Belarus, 19 regions of Russia will present their works at the fair – just under seven hundred craftsmen! Souvenirs, crafts, amulets… You can not only admire, but also buy your favorite copy. If you are afraid of the winter cold, go to the pavilion of the Orenburg region for fluffy shawls. Do you like wooden products? Welcome to the tent of the Pskov region – there are boxes, toys, interior items. The silhouette of this bird will rise above the stage podium, which will be surrounded by malls. Each region will present its stork at the opening ceremony of the holiday on a small stage, - Alexander Gluzdov, head of the department of amateur creativity and cultural and leisure activities of the Mogilev Regional Methodological Center for Folk Art and cultural and educational work, reveals the plot. - The figure of a stork will be involved not only in the artistic design of the premises, but also in the theatrical parade-procession at the opening of Kupala.</p><p class="">We walked, bought amulets in the form of a horseshoe for good luck, a belt with an ornament - for well-being. Now you can refresh yourself. Alexandria is not only fun, but also satisfying. The length of the shopping arcade will be almost two kilometers, 240 objects will be placed on the grounds - both indoor pavilions and spacious summer cafes. For comparison, last year there were 170 commercial facilities. In the tents of the Mogilev Regional Consumers' Union, decorated in the form of popular farmhouses, you can enjoy a barbecue, a barbecue and spring rolls.</p><p class="">At the “Mogilev Meat Processing Plant” they promise: they will definitely taste delicious. In a beautiful creative competition, two agro-cities will converge – Alexandria, Shklovsky district, and Kopys, Orsha district. The culprits of the dispute are Grandfather and Baba, who argued over which of them is more musical.
