Jordan and France unite in airdrop of medical aid to Gaza, showcasing international solidarity

Gaza City: Jordan and France have collaborated in a significant humanitarian effort, delivering medical aid to Gaza. This joint operation involved C-130 aircraft from both the Royal Jordanian Air Force and the French Air Force. The airdrops took place near the Jordanian Private Field Hospital/2 in Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip.

The aid comprised medical supplies and treatment materials, which were delivered using GPS-guided parachutes to ensure they reached specific locations within the necessary timeframes. This initiative underscores France’s support for Jordan’s position on the Palestinian issue and bolsters Jordan’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza, highlighting its vital role in unifying international efforts for aid delivery, reports Asharq Al-Awsat.

This operation, described as “extremely complex” by the French presidency, was conducted in close collaboration and coordination with the Jordanian Air Force. Approximately seven tons of humanitarian aid were airdropped during the night, marking a significant effort to provide relief to the people of Gaza. This initiative is particularly noteworthy as it represents the first time France has airdropped humanitarian aid in the Palestinian enclave since the onset of the conflict.

The successful execution of this operation demonstrates the strong partnership between Jordan and France and their commitment to addressing humanitarian crises. It also reflects the international community’s ongoing efforts to provide support and relief to conflict-affected regions.
