Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Russian politician Zhirinovsky earlier predicted an Israeli strike on Iran

The prediction of the founder and first chairman of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, about an Israeli strike on Iranian targets came true. Former Russian State Duma deputy Vasily Vlasov told Lenta.ru about this.

In 2012, Zhirinovsky, during a speech to MGIMO students, said that Israel had secretly adopted a policy of forcefully solving the “Iranian problem.” The Russian politician noted that the strengthening of Iran, including in the sphere of increasing the volume of weapons, began to pose a threat to Israel.

Zhirinovsky said that the Israeli military would strike Iranian targets and this would be followed by an Iranian retaliatory strike on Israel.

Vlasov drew attention to the fact that previously Zhirinovsky’s forecasts for the Middle East were not listened to, since the Russian political elite was primarily focused on working with the European Union.

On April 1, Israel struck the diplomatic quarter in Damascus, Syria, according to Al-Jazeera. As a result, the Iranian consulate building was completely destroyed. There are at least 11 victims, including generals of the elite units of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic. Tehran threatens revenge and promises that Israel will “regret this crime.” The Kremlin urged not to rush to conclusions about what happened.
